The rad guys of HUCK Magazine interviewed talented photographer Ale Romo about how she ended up doing photography, what she learned from traveling solo and exploring the world chasing waves…

Ale will document our Bali, Surf, Yoga & Wellness retreat and you will be able to book with her for a photo pack of your vacation. Plus, she will do a little photo lesson for everyone who wants to learn more about travel photography.

Kick start your yoga practice with one of my favourite poses Urdhva Hastasana.

1. Take a deep inhale, raise and lengthen your arms over your head and press your palms together.
2. Engage the legs and rotate your inner thighs back to release the buttocks ; -)
3. Draw in your abdomen and lengthen the tailbone down so that your pelvic lifts.
4. Relax your shoulders away from your ears and keep lengthening through your arms.
5. Gaze up towards your thumbs, keeping your back and neck long.

For most people getting up in morning is just plain difficult. That extra 5–10 minutes in bed before getting ready for work is sacred. The very thought of any form of movement, let alone 20 minutes or 1 hour of yoga (that could potentially send you back to sleep) is often unbearable. The Pitaya or commonly called Dragon Fruit, originates from Central America, but is also popularly grown and sold in South East Asia.

This stunning fruit, not only looks goods, but is packed with essential goodness. Rich in vitamin C (10x daily dose): boosts your immune system. High in fibre: improves your digestion. Full of anti-oxidates: detoxifies your body. Reduces blood sugar levels and controls your cholesterol. Not bad for such a pretty pink fruit! Great in smoothies or a topping on your favourite cereal.
